PROJECT GOAL: When Laura knew she was going to revise ‘Resilient Agriculture’, she wanted it to be a more approachable book, and she wanted it to be more reflective of the work she has been doing since it was first published through her consulting business Cultivating Resilience LLC. Her background as a soil scientist was in academic writing, and her work in research and academia had developed her voice toward audiences such as academics, scientists, regulators, and policy-makers. But with climate change being one of the most important issues facing humanity, Laura needed to reach a wider audience with her expertise.

WHY MEREDITH: “I knew Meredith was the one to bring in for this work because she possesses a deep knowledge of food systems, agriculture and sustainability. And she is a phenomenal writer with an honest voice who isn’t afraid to challenge me. ”

OUTCOMES: “Meredith’s mentoring of my writing has been transformative - she has gently but relentlessly invited me to find MY voice and the results are simply amazing. Part of her genius is that she is equally adept at addressing the mysteries of good writing AND dealing with all the 100's of little boring but important practical details involved in producing an engaging read. I am SO proud of what she has helped me create.”
